Well it has taken a lot longer than it should have done, but we are finally there. The new TBUK website has been launched.
After listening to members at our consultation events at the beginning of the summer, one thing that was consistently voiced was the need to update our website, making it far easier to find information and access material related to timebanking. We listened, and we spent the following six months working up and a new site with a simplified design. We have also added a few neat features, including a direct link to Time-ON-line so people can see exactly what the latest number of hours traded are; photo and video galleries; a new resource all about research on timebanking from the academic world; and a more interactive version of the ‘find my nearest’ function, which allows timebanks to search for others doing similar work.
But despite all that progress, this is still early days. We have ambitious plans for the coming months, including adding greater social networking functionality, and building up our membership section so we can showcase the incredible diversity of timebanking projects going on around the country.
In the mean time we need your help and feedback. If you spot any bugs or broken links, and and if you have ideas about how the site can improve in the coming months then email us and let us know.
And finally, we need to say a big thank you to NESTA for the help and support they have given us to develop the website, revamp the branding and most importantly, to think about how Timebanking UK can meaningfully add value in the coming years. We look forward to a bright future!
