A great time had by all!
The 2012 timebanking party, hosted by Timebanking UK on 30th January, at the prestigious London venue Cafe de Paris was a huge success. 197 people attended and they didn’t just come from time banks in London, some came as far afield as Scotland, St Austell in Cornwall, Kent, Somerset and Gloucestershire.
Sarah Bird, the Projects Manager welcomed everyone and paid special thanks to the funders, City Bridge and generous sponsors, SCA Group and Meteor Events for sourcing the venue and contributing a generous sum to the party. Martin Simon, the Founding Advisor of TBUK was thrilled to accept the sponsor’s cheque on the night.
“Brilliant party! People smiling, laughing and dancing. And what a band! Couldn’t ask for more!”
The entertainment for the night had everyone dancing, but then, who could resist the amazing sounds and energy of The Red Stripe Band?
Although the special guest Tam Cassidy was unable to sing as a result of a throat infection he has promised to come back to the next event in fine voice! The party ended at midnight but it won’t be the end of the story for the social calendars of the time banks as we are planning the next one already!
We would like to thank each and every person who attended the party, TBUK staff who helped to organise it and not forgetting the amazing staff of Cafe de Paris, as the party was certainly a night to remember!
“You organised a lovely night and made a lot of people very happy – some of whom would never otherwise get the chance to go to such a prestigious venue”
We’ll be uploading more photos from the party into a special gallery here!
