Partnership with hOurworld, USA Time & Talents timebanking software (TnT) is available in the UK and Timebanking UK will now be offering it to all of our member time banks and taking on the sole responsibility for rolling it out across the country under a new and exciting agreement with hOurworld Cooperative (www.hOurworld.org), who created this state of the art software . TnT is a powerful tool for both brokers and members. It is easy to use and members can post offers and requests, manage their own pages and leave feedback. There is a reporting feature for easy data collection and most importantly, it will ease administrative duties for brokers, allowing more time for relationship building and networking. Timebanking UK are mindful of safeguarding issues and have ensured that this software is flexible and can be customised so that Time Brokers can oversee exchanges if preferred. If you would like to start using Time and Talents contact email@example.com for more information and links on demo pages, what support TBUK can offer and how you can get started. We will be using a phased-in approach and will give you an estimated time of activation depending upon the response received across the country. Big Local is working with Timebanking UK

Town Teams and Timebanking UK have teamed up! The Association of Town & City Management (ATCM) and Timebanking UK are teaming up to help bring communities together in town centres across England and make great local places. As part of ATCM’s support for Town Teams, funded by the Department for Communities and Local Government, Timebanking UK will help develop up to five brand new timebank locations in England. Timebanking is a fantastic way for local people to connect with each other and support their community by swapping skills and services in exchange for others.
Chris Hurst, ATCM Town Team Programme Manager, said “we are delighted to be working with Timebanking UK to provide another new way of supporting town centres in England. This is a great opportunity for Town Teams to get expert help in developing their own local timebank and using local skills and enthusiasm to help make their local area a great place to live, work and relax.”
Sarah Bird, CEO of Timebanking UK is thrilled to be working with Town Teams across England and hopes that by sharing best practice and the timebanking concept, each area will be able to mobilise, reward and inspire local people to get involved. Timebanking UK are introducing a new membership area for paid up TBUK members. In the long run, this area will contain all sorts of information useful for timebanks.
The Members Area will be developed in a phased build. With phase one currently being implemented.
Phase one is the development of a ‘document store’, a ‘photo gallery’ and a ‘video archive’. The document store will be a place where interesting and useful documents can be uploaded for members to download and use and will also contain documentation a broker might need to help them set up and run a timebank. The photo gallery will be an area where photographs can be uploaded, and in the spirit of timebanking, made available for others to use. The video archive will be an area with links to videos that people will find interesting, informative and even useful.
The next phases will be determined after phase one has been completed and we have feedback on what will be required next. More information will be made available here whenever it becomes available.
This is still a ‘work in progress’ and will be expanded as time goes on.
The Members Area can be accessed HERE.
