Newsome Timebanking draws it’s membership from people who live and work in the Newsome Ward of Huddersfield.
The founding members of Newsome Timebanking included; Newsome Community Forum, The Local Ecumenical Partnership and United Response as well as individual people living and working in Newsome. The founding members carried out almost a year of preparatory work during 2007. Since then the membership has grown wit heth support of a timebanking coordinator to include more that eight associations and 60 individual members. Much of the members activity involves group activities across a range of projects decided on by local people. United Response’s interest has been to see vulnerable people, such as those with learning difficulties, participating in the community and developing their own relationships.
